quality, data-driven substance misuse prevention and mental health promotion services to Decatur youth and families.

MEET OUR TEAM
Terrie Moore
Executive Director Ms. Moore has provided prevention services and
professional training for 36 years, first as the then newly created position of substance abuse prevention specialist for Dekalb County Mental Health Services and the last three decades as a community-based prevention specialist. Her primary focus has been on providing prevention services for children and families affected by substance abuse. Her trainings for other prevention professionals are highly acclaimed for her breadth of experience and her common-sense approach to very difficult issues. She was recognized in 2011 as a Pioneer in Prevention by Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health. |
Delores "Dee" Anderson
Parent Outreach Coordinator Mrs. Delores “Ms. Dee” J. Anderson was Technical Advisor and Facilitator for five years with the
Decatur Housing Authority's parent task force, the Decatur Prevention Initiative, and is currently an active volunteer with the DeKalb Initiative for Children and Families (DCIF). She served 10 years as Director of Community Based Processes and a Prevention Education Trainer at the Council on Alcohol and Drugs (TCAD). She has done extensive work in the area of program development and implementation for youth at risk and their parents. Mrs. Anderson received the 2010 State of Georgia Pioneer Prevention Award. |
Marnie Grodzin
Youth Development Coordinator Marnie has worked with youth and families for
the past twenty years in a variety of settings including child protective services, hospital settings, hospice and schools. Since moving to Decatur in 2014, Marnie has developed a deep interest in community mental health. DPI is a great landing place for Marnie seeing as mental health and drug and alcohol usage can be linked together. As the youth development coordinator, Marnie leads the Decatur Youth Action Team, attends Georgia Teen Institute and teaches the All Star Core program at Renfroe Middle School. |
